Dec. 23, 2020 - The winter holidays are traditionally seen as a time of celebration and gathering with friends and family. However, many people suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) can feel as if December is a month of depression and worry. Add in the COVID-19 Pandemic, and those who suffer from SAD have it more difficult than ever this year.

Stem Cell Transplant Program at WRNMMC Accredited, Recognized
Dec. 23, 2020 - The Stem Cell Transplant Program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) has been accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) and recognized by the Joint Commission (JC) for maintaining the standards and requirements of FACT.

Dec. 18, 2020 - The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP) recognized WRNMMC with the award for earning meritorious outcomes for surgical patient care.

Surgeons at WRNMMC Complete First Cardiac Contractility Modulation Device Implantation Surgery Within the DoD
Dec. 23, 2020 - On Nov. 24, surgeons at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) completed the first cardiac contractility modulation device implantation surgery within the Department of Defense. The surgery was lead by Army LTC (Dr.) John Symons.
