Limited Services on January 9 for National Day of Mourning

Due to the Executive order establishing January 9 as a National Day of Mourning for President Jimmy Carter, Walter Reed will provide limited services that day. Patients who have scheduled outpatient appointments for January 9 will be contacted by clinic personnel to determine if those appointments can be rescheduled. Surgeries will take place, as scheduled, and emergency and inpatient services will remain available, including:
  • Emergency Room
  • Inpatient Care
  • MICC/Labor and Delivery
  • Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy (for inpatients and emergencies only)
  • Inpatient Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy
  • Inpatient Dialysis
  • Inpatient Nutrition and Main Dining Room
  • Patient Administration
  • Command Duty Office
