Wounded Warrior Pain Care Initiative
What is the Wounded Warrior Pain Care Initiative (WWPCI)?
The Wounded Warrior Pain Care Initiative is designed to improve quality and access to care for Wounded Warriors and all pain patients at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, while serving as a model for other MTF's.
This includes developing quality pain care throughout the hospital by focusing on supplementing Inpatient services, Outpatient services, Pain Clinic, Warrior Clinic with staff and knowledge. Additionally, the WWPCI sponsors education for patients, families, and providers for knowledge and prevention. Through training new techniques and dedicating pain care staff with the WWPCI we can improve health, give better quality of care at a lower cost.
