Hematology and Medical Oncology Clinic
Welcome to the Hematology and Medical Oncology Clinic of the John P. Murtha Cancer Center at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The Murtha Cancer Center is accredited by the Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program of the Commission on Cancer and is the only Cancer Center of Excellence in the Military Health System.
Our mission is to serve you with the same dedication you have shown our nation. We provide world-class, patient-centered hematology and oncology care tailored to the unique needs of service members, their families, and eligible veterans.
Our multi-disciplinary team offers comprehensive cancer and hematologic treatment that provides access to cutting-edge therapies and expanded opportunities for clinical trials. Our team works directly with our surgical teams, radiation oncologists, nurse case managers, nutritionists, and social workers to provide exceptional care to active duty service members and their dependents. We collaborate with regional institutions like the National Institutes of Health, Johns Hopkins University, and Georgetown University to ensure you receive the most advanced care available.
Our team aspires to navigate the journey ahead with you because we understand the unique challenges military members face — and the challenges that a cancer or blood disorder diagnosis brings. So, if you’re a Department of War Tricare beneficiary who was diagnosed with or suspected of having a blood disorder or cancer, please contact our clinic for an evaluation.
