Federal Government Closure Notification

Federal Offices in the DC area are closed on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Walter Reed National Military Medical Center is open for emergency and inpatient services only. All outpatient clinic appointments and elective surgeries are now canceled. Clinic staff will contact patients to reschedule as soon as possible. Virtual appointments will continue as scheduled unless otherwise notified by your provider.

All emergency/mission essential active duty and civilian personnel assigned to emergency and inpatient services report as scheduled, or as directed by your supervisor. Please contact your chain of command for any additional questions.
