Early Closure Notification

Federal Offices in the DC area are authorized an early departure no later than 2 p.m. Walter Reed National Military Medical Center is reducing operations to emergency and inpatient services only at 1 p.m. However, all afternoon surgeries will continue as scheduled. All outpatient clinic appointments after 1 p.m. are now canceled. Virtual appointments will continue as scheduled unless otherwise notified by your provider. Clinic staff will contact patients to reschedule as soon as possible.

Emergency/mission essential personnel will remain on board until their scheduled departure time or until secured by their supervisor. Personnel should contact their chain of command for any additional questions.
