Walter Reed National Military Medical Center hosted the 2023 National Capital Consortium graduation ceremony at The Music Center in Bethesda, Md.
The graduation ceremony celebrated the achievements of more than 200 military medical graduates, showcasing their dedication and commitment to serving the United States.
U.S. Senator and retired Lt. Col. Tammy Duckworth delivered an inspiring address to the graduates as the guest speaker, commending them for their unwavering dedication to the medical profession and their selfless service to service members.
“I know that tomorrow, the tomorrow after that, and all the tomorrows to come, you’re going to keep earning more first,” said Duckworth. “You’re going to keep paving the way for those coming up behind you by caring for those in front of you.”
This milestone event marks the readiness of each of the 202 graduates to make a lasting impact as military healthcare providers, carrying forward the legacy of Walter Reed. Their achievements reflect the highest standards of military medical care, highlighting their role in supporting the well-being of the armed forces.
